Undergraduate Assistants

Megan Brinckerhoff

This is my third and final semester working with LFP! I have enjoyed all my time here and will miss you all when I graduate in May! I am a senior in Kinesiology and am hoping to go into physical therapy after graduation. I am a NASM certified personal trainer and have worked for Campus Recreation for the past few years. In my free time I enjoy working out, training for half marathons, and doing yoga. I have 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels back at home with my family who are so sweet. My family and I love traveling! This past summer my siblings and I became avid stand-up paddleboarders! If you want a new challenge, check it out! I’m looking forward to a healthy semester at LFP.

Yaozong (Maggie) He

I am a first year doctoral student in Kinesiology and Community Health. I come from Shanghai, China. I’ve got a Master degree in Food Science. I want to devote my lifetime in the career of lifestyle intervention–diet and exercise as medicine. I’m now teaching Yoga in every Tuesday morning. I want to be helpful, and please feel free to contact me.

Natalie Noonan

I am a junior undergraduate here at the University studying Interdisciplinary Health with a concentration in Health and Aging; I also have a minor in chemistry. I have been a James Scholar and on the Dean’s List since Spring 2015. My goal is to receive a Master’s in Public Health and receive an additional Master’s to become a Physician Assistant. I wanted to join the LifeFitness Program in order to learn more about exercise in older populations. In my free time I enjoy doing activities outdoors from hiking to jet skiing to taking walks around town. I am from a south suburb of Chicago, Orland Park, and that is where my two fur-babies (two dogs, Grizzlee and Rylee) are living at and I love to talk about them all the time.

Ashley Pasterkiewicz

I am a senior majoring in Kinesiology and I aspire to be a physical therapist. This will be my second semester helping out with the Lifetime Fitness Program. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing volleyball, and trying to keep up-to- date with what is going on in the world.

Marissa Tassone

I am a sophomore at UIUC studying interdisciplinary health on a Pre-med track. This is my second semester participating in the LFP program and I absolutely love the program and the people I have met! In my free time I enjoy running and listening to country music. I love Italian food and my favorite dessert is gelato! I am so excited to be back for another semester of LFP and can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings. Thanks for making LFP such an enjoyable time!

Alex Perello

I am currently a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He studies Kinesiology and intends to research the neurological effects of exercise in efforts to combat the increasing rates of depression worldwide. He received his National Academy of Sports Medicine personal training certification in the summer of 2015, and is also a member of his university’s Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. Upon graduation, he will become a commissioned officer in the United States Navy.
